Receiving a Financial Guarantee (SBLC)

WHAT IS THIS PAGE FOR?

Someone is arranging an SBLC (Standby Letter of Credit) to be delivered to you. An SBLC is a formal financial guarantee issued by a bank — it is similar to a certified bank letter that says “we guarantee this amount.” It is sent from the issuing bank to your bank using the international SWIFT banking network (the same network banks use for all international wire transfers).

What we need from you: your bank details so the sending bank knows where to deliver it. This form takes about 5 minutes. If you do not have all the details yet, that is fine — submit what you have and we will follow up.

Not sure if this is for you? If someone told you an SBLC or Bank Guarantee is being sent to you and gave you a link to this page — you are in the right place. If you are the one sending an SBLC, go to Submit an SBLC instead.

Step 1 — Your Details

Tell us who you are. If you have a case reference number (provided by the party arranging the SBLC), enter it below — otherwise leave it blank and we will match you by name and email.

We will send you updates here at every step.
Common Questions
Where do I find my SWIFT code?
Log into your online banking and look under “international payments” or “account details.” Or call your bank and ask: “What is your SWIFT BIC code for receiving international wire transfers?” It is 8 or 11 characters (e.g. HSBCGB2L).
I do not have a bank account yet
Choose option 2 (“My bank is not set up yet”). The SBLC case will not be blocked — we will hold the transmission and you can come back to submit your bank details once ready.
What is an IBAN?
An IBAN is the European standard for bank account numbers. It starts with a 2-letter country code (e.g. GB for UK, DE for Germany) followed by numbers. It is on your bank statement. Outside Europe, use your normal account number plus routing number.
